When you interact with Zapp EV — including submitting a contact form, requesting investor materials, applying for a job, or signing up for early access — we collect information you voluntarily provide. When Zapp EV charging services are operational, we will collect data related to your charging sessions, including session start and end times, energy delivered (kWh), connector type used, vehicle identification (where provided), payment transaction data, and membership account activity. This data is necessary to provide, bill, and improve our charging services.
If you create a Zapp EV membership account, we collect account registration information (name, email, password hash), membership tier, payment method details (processed and stored by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers), vehicle information you associate with your account, and your reservation and access history.
Zapp EV uses the information we collect for the following purposes:
To provide, operate, and improve our EV charging services, membership platform, and website — including processing reservations, managing access control, billing for charging sessions, and delivering customer support.
To respond to your inquiries, send transactional communications (receipts, session summaries, account notifications), and — where you have opted in — send marketing communications about Zapp EV services, promotions, and updates. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To process and respond to investor deck requests, partnership inquiries, and press inquiries submitted through our website.
To evaluate job applications, communicate with candidates, and manage our hiring process.
To understand how visitors use our website and services, identify technical issues, and improve the performance, design, and functionality of our platform.
To comply with applicable laws and regulations, enforce our Terms of Service (www.zappforall.com/terms), protect the rights and safety of Zapp EV, our users, and the public, and respond to lawful requests from government authorities.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:
Retained for the duration of your active membership plus up to 7 years after account closure, to comply with financial recordkeeping requirements.
Retained for up to 7 years to support billing disputes, warranty claims, and regulatory compliance.
Retained for up to 3 years from the date of your last interaction with us.
Retained for up to 2 years from the date of application, unless you are hired (in which case it becomes part of your employment record).
Aggregated and anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Raw log data is typically retained for 90 days.

We will respond to verifiable privacy requests within 45 days. If we require additional time, we will notify you within the initial 45-day period.
Zapp EV implements industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular security assessments, and secure data storage practices.
