Zapp EV is executing Plan Alpha — a premium, networked EV charging infrastructure company built around flagship urban hubs, microhub density, fleet infrastructure, corridor execution, and a real operating backbone. We are in active Q2 2026 hiring across every function: executive, engineering, development, growth, marketing, design, and workplace. Every role carries real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to build something high-visibility from the ground up. Los Angeles strongly preferred. High-accountability, founder-led execution is the standard.
We are not a typical startup. We operate under infrastructure-grade reliability standards, conservative underwriting assumptions, and institutional accountability.
We build systems designed for 99.9% uptime. Reliability is not negotiable — it is the foundation of everything we do.
Every role carries clear responsibility. We document decisions, track performance, and hold ourselves to institutional standards.

Several of our active roles are structured as contract-to-hire during the bridge phase leading to our Series A. We know that raises questions. Here's exactly how we think about it — and why serious candidates shouldn't let the structure stop them from applying.
We're building something that has never been done at this level in this market. The contract phase lets both sides confirm the working relationship, pace, and expectations are right — before either party makes a permanent commitment.
The bridge period is when the flagship gets built, the brand gets established, and the Series A story gets written. Contract-to-hire means you're in the room for all of it — with a clear path to the full-time role that follows.
Bridge-phase roles include performance incentives, milestone bonuses, and conversion bonuses specifically designed to compensate for the early-stage structure. You're not taking a risk without upside.
These are not temporary or project-based roles. Every contract-to-hire posting at Zapp EV is designed to convert to a full-time position. The contract structure is a bridge — not a ceiling.
At this stage of company building, contract-to-hire is a responsible and common structure. It allows us to move fast, bring in serious talent, and formalize full-time packages as the capital structure matures.
Each role specifies its expected contract duration and conversion trigger. You'll know exactly what the path looks like before you accept — no ambiguity, no indefinite holding patterns.
Still have questions about the structure?
Reach out directly before applying — we're happy to walk through the specifics of any role.
We run a focused, respectful process. Every step is intentional — no filler rounds, no committee loops, no indefinite timelines. Here's exactly what happens from application to offer.
Every application is reviewed by a member of the founding team — not a recruiter or ATS filter. We read what you send. If your background is relevant, you'll hear back within 3–5 business days with a clear next step or a direct explanation of why it's not the right fit.
No ghosting. If we've reviewed your application and it's not a match, we'll tell you.
A brief call with a founding team member to align on the role, your background, and mutual expectations. This is not a screening call — it's a real conversation. We'll cover the company's current phase, what the role actually requires day-to-day, and what you're looking for.
Come prepared with questions. We expect them.
For most senior and technical roles, we'll ask for a short work sample, portfolio review, or a brief case exercise relevant to the actual work. This is not a multi-day unpaid project — it's a focused, scoped exercise designed to give both sides a realistic preview of the working relationship.
We respect your time. Exercises are scoped to 1–3 hours maximum.
A deeper conversation with one or more founders. We'll go into your experience, how you think, how you operate under ambiguity, and how you'd approach the specific challenges of this role at this stage. Expect direct questions and direct answers from us in return.
This is also your opportunity to pressure-test the role and the company.
For operations, infrastructure, and flagship-facing roles, we may invite you to the site or a working session to see how you engage with the physical environment and the team. This step is role-specific and will be communicated clearly in advance.
Not required for all roles — we'll tell you upfront if this applies.
If we're aligned, we move fast. You'll receive a written offer outlining the contract structure, compensation, incentives, and conversion path. We'll walk through every line with you before you sign. Onboarding is structured and intentional — not a "figure it out" first week.
We aim to have offers out within one week of the final interview.
Total Timeline
Most processes complete in 2–3 weeks from first contact to offer.
Direct Communication
You'll always know where you stand. No ambiguous "we'll be in touch."
